Bridges and Crowns
Dental Implants are an amazing treatment option that is available for many patients today. In the 1950s Dr Branemark discovered that medical grade titanium would be a suitable restorative material to allow for the replacement of missing teeth.
Dr Christopher Cansler has had extensive training in the surgical placment and restoration of dental implants and achieved Mastership status with the American Dental Implant Association. We use sophisticated Cone Beam 3D Xray technology to enhance the accuracy of the placement of implants in our office.
When the damage to a tooth is too great to fix with a simple white filling a crown is the best option to restore the tooth to proper form and function. A crown is a simple restoration that is made in a lab to cover and protect the tooth. They are typically made of a strong porcelain material to look natural and last a very long time.
If you have lost a tooth and the nearby teeth are strong you are a good candidate to receive a bridge to replace the missing tooth. The bridge can also be made of beautiful porcelain and is cemented permanantly to the adjacent teeth to give you a worry-free restoration that you can be proud of.
White fillings are a modified resin material that is adhesively bonded to the teeth to restore areas that were removed by the dentist due to dental decay. White fillings are a cost effective and attractive option for most routine cavity replacement.
Resin or white fillings can be placed in the anterior or the posterior of the mouth to restore the tooth to it's original size and shape after damage from dental decay. If the damage was too great and a significant amount of the tooth was lost the tooth may require a different restoration to prevent it from fracture.
Nitrous Oxide is also more commonly known as Laughing Gas because of its euphoric effects while breathing it. N2O is a very safe gas used in dentistry and medicine as an analgesic and anaesthetic when correctly administered to help relax the patient.
Not only does Nitrous make race cars go really fast but it can help anxious patients get through challenging or difficult appointments with ease! Our office is plumbed to allow use of Nitrous Oxide in each and every room for the most relaxing dental appointment possible for a modest fee.
