Crowns and Bridges
When the damage to a tooth is too great to fix with a simple white filling, a crown is the best option to restore the tooth to proper form and function. A crown is a simple restoration that is made in a lab to cover and protect the tooth. They are typically made of a strong porcelain material to look natural and last a very long time.
If you have lost a tooth and the nearby teeth are strong you are a good candidate to receive a bridge to replace the missing tooth. The bridge can also be made of beautiful porcelain and is cemented permanently to the adjacent teeth to give you a worry-free restoration that you can be proud of.
Composite Fillings
Also known as "white" fillings due to their natural color.
Many patients prefer this look, as metal amalgam fillings are often noticeable. A composite filling bonds to the tooth which helps to support and strengthen the tooth - this helps avoid chipping.
Dental Implants
Dental Implants are an amazing treatment option that is available for many patients today. ​
Dr. Cansler has had extensive training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants and achieved Mastership status with the American Dental Implant Association. We also use sophisticated Cone Beam 3D-Xray technology to enhance the accuracy of the placement of implants in our office.
Routine Cleanings
Professional teeth cleaning by a certified dental hygienist aims to remove plaque, tarter and stains that have accumulated on the teeth. Even with routine brushing and flossing of your teeth and gums, tarter can develop. The professional cleaning of teeth is a crucial part of good oral hygiene and is needed periodically to maintain the health of your teeth and gums. Most dentists recommend having your teeth professionally cleaned every 6-12 months to reduce the likelihood of periodontal disease progressing. In between routine cleanings, good oral hygiene at home is vital to prevent tarter build-up and gum disease.
